Don Gasgarth Ford donated this truck which was given away at the 2011 Renaissance Assembly
Each nine weeks, students must meet the following critiera to qualify:
1. Students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, or improve their grade point average by 0.5 from the last nine weeks.
2. Students must not miss more than 4 days of school during the last nine weeks.
3. Students must not be tardy more than 9 times during the last nine weeks.
Renaissance participation is reviewed at the end of each 9 weeks.
Renaissance rewards for students:
A Renaissance Assembly is held in the spring of each school year and includes prizes such as cars, big screen TV, X-Boxes, Play Stations, tickets to Universal Studios, tickets to Busch Gardens, etc. Prizes total in excess of $13,000.
Other Renaissance activities have included:
Scary Movie Night
Pictures with Easter Bunny
CHS Car Show
Free cookie with lunch
Ice cream social
Viewing of the school musical during the school day
Discounts from local merchants
Pizza parties
Field day with free soda and popcorn during the school day
Assemblies such as the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds
Doughnuts and juice before school
Multiple boys and girls basketball games during the school day
Wrestling meet during school
All of these activities are not offered every year.

The considerable expense of Renaissance is covered by our Annual Redfish Tournament and generous community donations.
